Me and my wife decded to take a trip down to FL for thanksgiving this year to visit friends and family. I started taking some pics of the trip in the clearwater area, then we made our way down to the Ft. Myers area. We had awesome riding weather mid 70s.

War Ride

This year we tried our hand at doing a ride. We had a fairly good turn out for the first time doing something like this and the weather was pretty crappy also. We kicked it off by having a pre-party at the NSTC's compound. Much hell was raised and plenty of beer drank... And a big hole in a wall due to a few burn outs. The next morning we got up and watched the rain, we had to make a run to Lowes to get plywood because the rain had washed out the drive way at the shop. About 10:00am bikes started rolling in, I was stoked to see how many bikes were showing up. After wrenching on a few bikes we got rounded up and headed out around 11:30. We pulled out of the shop and headed 703. As we made it to the end of 703 we hung a left on 29N towards Lynchburg. Burning gas and hauling ass we made our first stop for gas. Then, we ran into our first issue with a bike, bucks shovel head. After wrenching on it for a while Rhett, Will, Wild Bill and I tried to push start that huge POS. Will jumped the wires on the relay and back on the road we went. We ran about 3 more miles up the road and my tag bracket broke. I cut my taillight wires, threw the taillight in the ditch, my tag in the back of the truck and kept get'n up. We exited onto 43 headed to Bedford, running down the road on one of the sickest routes in the area along the river. We made a quick stop to tweak on Jason's carb. As we were trying to take back off Tim's (of Show Class and Death Science) Pan doesn't sound to good. Big Will checks it out with his pan head ingenious ass. Finding a bent push rod and straightens it back out by stomping it with his big bear like man feet. We get the push rod back in... No dice the top end is shot so on the trailer the ol' girl goes. We ball up the road and finally make it to our destination, The Bedford War Memorial. This place was incredible. You could hear a pin drop in place as everyone paid there respect to the men that had given there lives for our great country and our freedom to ride these bikes there. We grouped back up and head back down the road. Once we got back on 29 every body burned the road up and left me and DS Matt in the dust (because both our bikes vibrate like an M'fer). We made it to our last gas stop and the rain clouds were rolling in. We peeled out in hopes not to get wet but made it about 15min away from our final destination and it began to ran...needless to say we were completly soaked once we finally made it back to my house. By then the rain had cleared and the lady's had the bbq smellin' good. We got some dry clothes, kicked back and stuffed our faces. Later on after warming up, eating a ton, and doing some raffles the metal band "Humungus" played and these guys killed it. That ended our festivities and every one eventually rolled out and we cant wait to do it again next year!
The Butcher Chop would like to give a big thanks to all the people that showed up and a HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors for helping out with our raffles...Hellmuts, The Lost Highways, Death Science, Showclass, NSTC, 33 Kustom colors... And any one else I missed. If you didn't make it you missed out, be there next year!!! -josh
